Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
When you visit or shop at Major Crafts & Designs, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number. When you make a purchase, payment details (card type, last four digits) are processed and stored by PayPal - we never see or store your full card number on our servers.
We also automatically collect certain information when you browse our site, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URLs, and time spent on the site, through cookies and similar technologies. If you create an account, we store your order history and saved addresses so you don't have to re-enter them on future visits. If you submit a product review, we collect your rating, written comment, and the email address you used to check out (which we mask before displaying it publicly).
If you contact our customer support team, we retain a record of that correspondence, including your name, email, and the content of your message, so we can track the resolution of your inquiry and provide better support in the future.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: process and fulfill your orders, including verifying payment and calculating shipping; send order confirmations, shipping updates, and customer service communications; respond to inquiries, returns, and support requests; personalize your shopping experience and recommend relevant products; improve our website, products, and marketing based on aggregate browsing patterns; and detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions or abuse of our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own independent marketing purposes.
3. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience, remember your preferences, analyze website traffic, and support essential website functionality.
When you first visit our website, you will be presented with a cookie banner that allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your preference will be respected and can be changed at any time through your browser settings.
Essential cookies are required for the proper operation of our website, including maintaining your shopping cart and enabling secure checkout. These cookies cannot be disabled. You may choose to reject optional cookies used for analytics or marketing purposes without affecting your ability to browse or make purchases.
You can also manage, block, or delete cookies at any time through your web browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality and performance of some features on our website.
4. Third-Party Services
We use PayPal to process all payments securely; PayPal's own privacy policy governs how it collects and handles your payment data (see paypal.com/privacy). We may also use analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic patterns, and email delivery services to send order confirmations and, where you've opted in, marketing emails. These providers only receive the minimum information necessary to perform their specific function and are contractually restricted from using your data for unrelated purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain order and transaction records for at least 7 years to comply with tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations. Customer support correspondence is generally retained for up to 3 years to help us resolve any follow-up questions about a past order. You may request deletion of personal data that is not required for these legal and business purposes by emailing us at [email protected]; we will confirm once the deletion has been completed.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal recordkeeping obligations; opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails; object to or restrict certain processing of your data; and request a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format. California residents specifically have the right to know what categories of personal information we've collected and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA - as noted above, we do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us immediately so we can investigate and remove it.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption to protect data transmitted between your browser and our servers, and we limit access to personal information to employees and service providers who need it to perform their job functions. While no online system can guarantee absolute security, we continually review our practices to reduce risk and respond promptly to any suspected incident.
9. International Visitors
Our servers and business operations are located in the United States. If you are accessing our site from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your home country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
11. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us:

12. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our site does not currently alter its data collection practices when it detects such a signal, but you can still manage cookies directly through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner.
13. Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter or opt in at checkout, we may send you promotional emails about new arrivals, sales, and restocks. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and opting out of marketing communications will not affect your ability to receive transactional emails such as order confirmations and shipping updates.
